Prepory is a college admissions company that was founded in 2016. Based in Florida, it has grown quickly and has worked with over 10,000 students in 40+ countries. Unlike some college admissions companies that focus primarily on getting students into top-tier schools, Prepory is open about working with students interested in a wide range of colleges, not necessarily only Ivy League or similar schools.

Prepory pairs students with a dedicated admissions expert who guides them through each stage of the college preparation and application process. Students typically work with their expert for at least a year. For younger students, consulting can include developing strong extracurriculars, building leadership experiences, and choosing the right high school courses. For seniors, they can help with every part of college applications, including creating a college list, writing personal statements, and asking for letters of recommendation. Prepory offers unlimited resume, personal statement, and deferral letter reviews to their students. 9th and 10th graders generally meet with their coach 1-2 times a month, and 11th and 12th graders meet 2-4 times a month. 

One area that sets Prepory apart is their extensive experience working with transfer students. Many companies will treat transfer students very similarly to first-year college applicants, but colleges look for quite different things in a transfer student’s application. Prepory understands that and works with students to develop a strong transfer application by creating a compelling narrative for why they want to transfer, developing a list of the best schools to apply to, highlighting academic strengths, and reviewing personal statements. After a student is accepted, they’ll also work to make the transfer process smoother, such as making sure past college credits transfer to the new school. Prepory also offers services tailored to international students, first-generation college applicants, and students applying to U.S. colleges from abroad.
